clipper makes lyx(or qt in general ?) unusable

Using Lyx: text highlighting with pointer disappers if mouse button released and paste via middleclick does nothing.
I am can confirm this bug for any compinations of lyx 1.5* + glipper 1./0.9 + ubuntu > 7.04.
Lokk at the comments in http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3580 too.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 9.04 (which has a newer lyx)?

I can confirm the bug.

It happens to me running Lyx 1.6.2 on Ubuntu 9.04 (64 bit). I have the latest versions of parcellite and glipper from the repositories.

Whenever Parcellite or Glipper are opened before running Lyx, I loose the ability to select in Lyx with the mouse. The problem goes away whenever Parcellite or Glipper are not running.
