iconv program lacks documented exit code

Bug Description
iconv (GNU libc) 2.9/Ubuntu 9.04
I cannot find any mention of exit codes in the man page for iconv (1). That makes it more difficult than necessary to check for errors in shell scripts that use iconv. Returning 0 on success and 1 on failure would be fine for me.
