Bug Description

I downloaded ubuntu-8.04-rc-alternate-i386.iso tonight.
MD5sums of the file & of the CD were ok.

I perform a french installation.

I tried to install the base system step but It crashes.

1. it tell me that the file busybox-initramfs_1.1.3-5ubuntu12_i386.debwas corrupt
2. Failure trying to run : chroot/target dpkg --force-depends --install var/cache/apt/archives/libc6_2.7-10ubuntu3_i386.deb

Itried to modify the apt's sources with no results :

E: Internal Error, Could not perform immediate configuration (2) on libc6

There is the syslog's file in attachment
