Please note that the hardware errors reported for /dev/sdd in Dmesg.txt are related to USB communication problems with one of two external hard drives, which are probably irrelevant (despite these errors, the hard drive does work -- it does not contain any files related to the reported bug).

I have two internal SSDs which contain the system directories.

After the previous update (a day earlier), I had a system freeze during shutdown, and one during daytime. Only once I had to run fsck on the drive containing the /home folder (but not the /usr folder).

It might be possible (not necessarily though) that the reported problem is insular to my own machine, but I'm not entirely sure about that.

It appears that "ldconfig" is the program that crashes during the run of the post-installation script. I tried running "ldconfig" and "ldconfig.real" manually, and they crash too. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to debug this for you.

A downgrade to an earlier version of the package fixes the problem, so it indeed seems to be a problem in the new package.
