Bug Description
I have in my ~/.profile a call to "locale -m" to adapt some locale variables based on available charmaps. When it is run during X session init, it produces some errors to stderr:
gzip: stdout: Broken pipe
gzip: stdout: Broken pipe
gzip: stdout: Broken pipe
gzip: stdout: Broken pipe
gzip: stdout: Broken pipe
/... same line repeated 12 more times .../
The charmaps reported to stdout are still fine however. I notice this because lightdm displays a dialogue with the stderr messages before showing the desktop.
The obvious workaround is to redirect stderr from "locale -m" to /dev/null.
