upon upgrading my vivid test installation I received this error. It seems this might be a dupe of bug 1394849 and/or bug 1416739

dpkg trigger cycle detection was an experimental feature in Debian, and subsequently Ubuntu, was has now been removed from dpkg. Therefore, this bug report is no longer valid and I'm marking it as such.
