Bug Description
Note: a new version is coming: I'm creating this bug report mainly to help others identifying the issues.
With Glib 2.80.1, I'm no longer able to type special characters like ~`àéè, etc.
The bug has already been fixed upstream: https:/
It is part of the 2.80.2: https:/
2.80.2 is in the proposed repo: https:/
This bug is particularly annoying if you have such special characters in your password, it affects all apps using Glib 2.80.1. So the apps installed from Snap are not affected as they are using an older version of Glib.
Workaround:
sudo apt install libglib2.
(or install the packages from "proposed")

Thanks for the report and for closing it. We have 2.80.2 in Oracular now and I've checked that the follow-up bugfix has been included in the security uploads for the other series
