Bug Description
I received two of these errors just when starting up my computer. See image. Not shown is the "CurrentDesktop" field which says "MATE", just confirming that the crash happened while in MATE.
This occured after attempting to log out of the MATE desktop (since I wanted to switch back to XFCE) and then the MATE desktop's theme changed to my system default of Greybird and then hanged without allowing me to log out. I then tried to log into the Ctrl+Alt+F1 TTY session but that froze on me too. So, I held the power button and booted up and got these errors.

This may be useful - I got a more descriptive error from another program with the same problem:
GLib-GIO: ERROR:/ build/glib2. 0-7IO_Yw/ glib2.0- 2.48.1/ ./gio/glocalfil emonitor. c:433:g_ file_monitor_ source_ handle_ event: code should not be reached
in the output when running PCManFM from the Terminal and reproducing this bug. Full output:
aaronfranke@ aaron-xub16desk :~$ pcmanfm

So, I think that this error may have something to do with GLib/GTK
