I don't know about Redaon, Catalyst, or KDE. My system is Xubuntu 13.10 with NVIDIA 173 graphic card driver. After an update some days ago (I later know that one of the included package of the updates is xserver-xorg-glamoregl 0.5.1-0ubuntu4.1) and restart the PC, light-dm display manager failed to load.

After some investigation and searching, I decided to force to reinstall previous version (downgrade to version 0.5.1-0ubuntu4) by running `sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-glamoregl=0.5.1-0ubuntu4` via root shell in recovery mode boot. I rebooted the PC and everything works OK (with xserver-xorg-glamoregl version 0.5.1-0ubuntu4).

So I decided to I lock the xserver-xorg-glamoregl package to version 0.5.1-0ubuntu4 for now.

PS: Sorry for my Engrish.

Is this still an issue with Ubuntu 14.04 or 14.10?
