Bug Description

Binary package hint: gksu

Open gnome-terminal, and run "gksu aptitude"
Aptitude will either immediately exit or the keyboard will be non-functional
Running "sudo aptitude" works fine.

Note that I tried "gksu -g aptitude" with no difference.

My goal is to run aptitude from my toolbar with this command:
/usr/bin/gnome-terminal --title=Aptitude --command='gksu -g /usr/bin/aptitude' --geometry=150x37

I prefer this than:
gksu -- /usr/bin/gnome-terminal --title=Aptitude --command='/usr/bin/aptitude' --geometry=150x37

As the latter runs gnome UI (gnome terminal) as root so it does not leverage my user's gnome configuration and I would prefer to not run gnome-terminal as root.
