Bug Description

When attempting to run a graphical program as root from the terminal, I get this error:

No protocol specified

** (gedit:5165): WARNING **: Could not open X display
No protocol specified
Failed to connect to Mir: Failed to connect to server socket: No such file or directory
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused

(gedit:5165): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0

When attempting to run a graphical program as root using gksu, nothing happens
