Thanks for your bugreport and sorry for my late reply.

This looks like some generic problem with gksu, I've seens it sporadicaly with
other clients that where run with gksu too (e.g. update-manager).

I tried to reproduce it with the current hoary and I failed. Can you still
reproduce it?
What steps are needed to get the error message?

regardless from what causes this error, it could be a little more descriptive...
(user root? in ubuntu? child? child terminated?? 249 status?)

Yeah, I can sometimes reproduce it, but most of the time I can't.

I removed the code that would show this message on gksudo. I believe this was
for 1.3.2. It is still true for the su 'backend', though.

This problem should be fixed with the upload of

libgksu1.2_1.3.1-1ubuntu5

please reopen if you still experience that problem after you upgraded libgksu1.2
