Bug Description

If you have sound playing and the gksudo dialog box opens, the sound playback
pauses until the dialog goes away. This happens with Totem and Muine (Rhythmbox
is currently broken on my machine).

That's actually security feature. To disable it, go in /etc/gksu.conf and set:
 disable-grab = yes

Then your music will not stop when asked for a gksudo password.

I wondering what sort of issue is being solved by this? What your average user
is going to see is music playback just borked and may not know why, like I just did.

I can understand it grabbing the keyboard, but the sound device? Is that really
intentional?

   * Sync with Debian:
     - fix the sound issue (Hoary: #7226).
