Gitg suddenly freezes when clicking on a commit

Bug Description

This issue appears very frequently, but without any particular pattern: there are commits that Gitg just don’t like. Clicking on these commits in the interface will just make Gitg freeze for quite a long time (several minutes, usually). These special commits are not particularly long or complex, so there is really not much to say apart that there seems to be no reason why Gitg doesn’t these commits…
