Bug Description

For gitg 3.17.1, the diff view at the bottom gets very slow for slightly longer files. Eg. having 20000 lines changed in total, the view shows up after some seconds, but pressing any of the unfold arrow buttons (now even for a very small file) will stall the view for quite some time.

Top shows a "WebKitWebProcess" consuming 100% CPU until the view finally refreshes.

Older gitg (as of Ubuntu 14.04) had no problems with changesets of this size.
