Bug Description

Binary package hint: git-gui

I'm using git gui 1.7.2.3 and the window is never maximized after git gui is started. Steps to reproduce:

1. Start git gui and open a project.
2. Maximze the window of git gui.
3. Close git gui.
3. Start git gui again.

Now the window is not fully maximized.

I can not reproduce this in git gui 0.14.0 (git 1.7.5.4) in Ubuntu Oneiric. Could you please try to upgrade your Ubuntu and see if the problem is then resolved?

In git gui 0.14.0 (git 1:1.7.7.3-1) on Ubuntu 12.04 dev the problem still exists. With not maximized I mean that the maximized symbol is not activated. git gui uses in this state only ~ 99% of the window.

Japp, I see now that you are right. I see that it in .git/config saves:

wmstate = normal
        geometry = 1280x974+1280+0 207 188

and thus probably not that the window is maximized.

Is this a patch for this issue maybe?:
