Bug Description

Binary package hint: gimp

GIMP has lost its .desktop Name translation, which is a very visible i18n bug.

Even though 03_gimp.desktop.in.in.patch changes the Name from GNU Image Manipulation Program (upstream) to GIMP Image Editor (in addition to the usage of X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain), the GIMP Image Editor string is also found and translated correctly in the current translations. Also the translation domain in the patch is correct gimp20.

In the installed .desktop file, GenericName and Comment are translated (from upstream translations), but Name stands alone as non-translated (into any language).

The problem of not getting the Name gettext:d seems to lie in that in the installed .desktop file the last line is:
X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gimp20X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gimp20

Ie. the automatically added X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain in addition to the one in the patch, on the same line. If the automatic domain addition works, the 03 patch should be reworked not to add the line manually, or as the very least add a newline there so they get duplicated on separate lines.
