Please edit the description to get rid of the profanity. Such language will NOT get this looked at faster, but rather, will get your launchpad account removed. If you're going to act that way, figure out a way to fix it yourself.

Done.

> Such language will NOT get this looked at faster

I didn't expect it to. Neither would I expect it to get this looked at any less fast.

How fast this gets looked at should depend on the impact, severity and importance of the bug, and shouldn't be influenced in the slightest by the attitude of the reporter. Fixing a bug isn't about helping the particular person who happened to let you know about it.

That doesn't make any sense (see above)

@teo1978: We expect people to abide by the Ubuntu code of conduct. Please do so. We would rather not have to ban people from Launchpad, but we will if necessary.

My suggestion would be to try to pour all that anger energy into checking whether the change mentioned in the quoted parts of https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/789#note_777421 does solve that issue.

This is a change to GTK, and the comment likely refers to a more recent version that what is packaged in Ubuntu 16.04, so the line number might not match exactly. Testing this requires building GTK, and it being a rather central library for many applications means it should preferably be attempted by those who know what they are doing.

That's not really certain, because this usually happen as soon as something is copied - that's what the issue report I linked to is about. But it might take some time to occur after the copy action is done, so "crashes when pasting" could mean that enough time has elapsed then.
