Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:

- Open GIMP
- Create a new image
- Try to rename the layer to something containing a capital letter using the
shift key

GNU Image Manipulation Program version 2.6.12

using GEGL version 0.0.22 (compiled against version 0.0.22)
using GLib version 2.32.3 (compiled against version 2.32.1)
using GTK+ version 2.24.10 (compiled against version 2.24.10)
using Pango version 1.30.0 (compiled against version 1.30.0)
using Fontconfig version 2.8.0 (compiled against version 2.8.0)

I updated to 2.8 (using these instructions:
http://www.maketecheasier.com/upgrade-to-gimp-2-8-in-ubuntu), but the problem
exists there as well.

GNU Image Manipulation Program version 2.8.10
git-describe: GIMP_2_8_8-55-g9bb7eb0

using GEGL version 0.2.1 (compiled against version 0.2.1)
using GLib version 2.32.3 (compiled against version 2.32.4)
using GdkPixbuf version 2.26.1 (compiled against version 2.26.1)
using GTK+ version 2.24.10 (compiled against version 2.24.10)
using Pango version 1.30.0 (compiled against version 1.30.0)
using Fontconfig version 2.8.0 (compiled against version 2.8.0)
using Cairo version 1.10.2 (compiled against version 1.10.2)

I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit:

Description: Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS
Release: 12.04
