gimp-gap crashes when duplicating frame

GIMP gives an error when duplicating the frame:

I have restarted GIMP three times, two no avail, and tries reinstalling gimp-gap threw adept.

Could you run "GIMP_PLUGIN_ DEBUG=gap_ plugins gimp" from a command line, when it prints the pid of the plugin do "gdb -p pid", "(gdb) continue", try duplicating the image and get a backtrace if the plugin crashes then?
It did have the issue on first run on my dapper install but now prints a "could not rename frame" message and nothing about the plugin
