Bug Description
I tried to build the ubuntu bzr repository (bzr branch lp:ubuntu/ghostscript) with ghostscript, but I get the following output:
<snip>
dh_fixperms -plibgs-dev
dh_makeshlibs -plibgs-dev
dh_compress -pghostscript-dbg
dh_fixperms -pghostscript-dbg
dh_installdeb -pghostscript
dh_perl -pghostscript
dh_shlibdeps -pghostscript
dpkg-shlibdeps: error: couldn't find library libc.so.6 needed by debian/
dpkg-shlibdeps: error: Cannot continue due to the error above.
Note: libraries are not searched in other binary packages that do not have any shlibs or symbols file.
To help dpkg-shlibdeps find private libraries, you might need to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
dh_shlibdeps: dpkg-shlibdeps -Tdebian/

dpkg-buildpackage: error: fakeroot debian/rules binary gave error exit status 2
debuild: fatal error at line 1350:
dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -D -us -uc -j7 -i -b failed
There are also lots of warnings in the output about deprecated features, which suggests that this isn't actually being maintained.
Can't you do some automatic tests and publish the command you use to build these packages?
