GHC 8.8.4 (Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS) reports

/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/11/../../../x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.a(pthread_cond_broadcast.o)(.note.stapsdt+0x14): error: relocation refers to local symbol "" [1], which is defined in a discarded section

and several similar messages after "cabal build" with
