installer splash shows weird console output

Bug Description

after hitting enter on the installer splash I can see not only the intended progress bar but also the console output (loding vmlinuz, loding initrd.gz) in very small green script twice at the top of the screen.
When the installer shows up everything looks normal.

Which version of Ubuntu are you using? Is this still an issue?

Please stop closing bugs.

This is also bug 29394 and I believe it is still an issue.
