Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

1. Boot from tribe 2 alternate 32 Bit Cd
2. Press F2 to select language. -> After language selection the menu is still named "Language"
2.a. If you select "Deutsch" as language everything is translated but not the name of the keymap in F3 menu: it is still named "German".
3. Press F3 to select keymap. -> After that the menu is still named "Keymap"
4. Press F4 to select screen resolution. -> After that the menu is named after your choice e.g. "1024 x 768 x 16" and no longer "VGA"
5. F5 acts like F2 and F3
6. F6 starts the boot process if you press enter without warning.

This should be made more consistent so a first time user is not confused by this.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

This is a legitimate bug and there is no need for further information to be provided on it. Please do not triage it further.

F4 behaves like F2, F3, and F5 with the new Modes menu in gfxboot-theme-ubuntu 0.5.3; I think on balance this is probably the better behaviour. The other issues are still outstanding.
