Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

Especially stop one above needs more info. What FTP client do you use and does it happen every time?
We also need to know what version of Ubuntu your are using.

Thanks!

1) Well, huh, Gnome crashes on any attempt to connect with external FTP server by Gnome menu. Connection by gFTP comes without problems, so, for shure, it's Gnome bug.
2) Of course I expect to connect with server normally, as it was with Karmic and other previous versions.
3) Gnome panels immediately switched off, all expanded applications begin to "flip" between fullscreens. Work can be continued with unexpanded applications, but no way to return to normal Gnome work in other meanings.

Nonono. gFTP connects normally, without any problem. Problems were occurred only with establishing FTP connection by Gnome itself.
