geoipupdate return code documented incorrectly

Bug Description

The man page for geoipupdate says it returns 0 on success, 1 on error. In practise, I'm getting 1 on success.

# lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS

# apt-cache policy geoip-bin
geoip-bin:

I think the issue is to do when there is more than one dat file being updated... the return code appears to be for only the last updated file, instead of an aggregate for all files.

https://github.com/maxmind/geoipupdate/releases?q=exit+code&expanded=true shows that exit codes have been reworked, so closing this, without testing, due to age.

Changed in geoip (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
