Bug Description

When starting eog/evince using 'ssh -X' with 'ForwardX11Trusted no' ond 12.04.4 startup is really slow (see log below) and closing the program by clicking on the close button of the window manager button (x) does not work (the window is responging error message pops up). Closing from the file menu does work. The problem does not occur with 11.04.4 and also does not seem to affect 13.10 (I tested with 'ssh -X' localhost after applying fix for #1276333).

This is probably related to libgrip or geis (not existing on 11.04.4), so maybe a backport of newer versions will fix this.

Also see related bug: #1276333

Versions on 12.04.4:
libgrip (0.3.5-0ubuntu1~12.04.1),
geis (2.2.9.2-0ubuntu1)

Versions on 13.10:
libgrip (0.3.7+13.10.20130628-0ubuntu1)
geis (2.2.16+13.10.20130919.4-0ubuntu1)

Startup is slow and prints these warnings:
