Bug Description
Binary package hint: geeqie
I have the "Fit window to image when tools are hidden/floating" option enabled, and the tools are currently hidden. When alternating between two images with different dimensions, the geeqie window shrinks ever smaller each time the image is changed, until the window is eventually as small as my window manager will allow.
The first switch retains window height of the previous image and shrinks the width to accommodate the new image's aspect ratio. Switching back retains the previous width and shrinks the height. Continuing to switch back and forth between the two images will gradually shrink the window to thumbnail size, one axis at a time.
Pressing Z to disable "zoom to fit" mode restores the current image's correct size, but pressing X and switching between images causes the problem again.
I'm using geeqie version 1.0 (packaged with Ubuntu Maverick). The problem did not exist in gqview (packaged with Ubuntu Karmic).
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
