Bug Description

Gqview does not take paper from LC_PAPER locale, but instead defaults to US Letter. In countries not using US Letter (all but 4 countries in the world) this often results in failed printing. Can be bypassed by setting the paper (again) manually in gqview.

Javier: The bug is still open upstream, how could it be working in 8.10? Did you release a fix for just Ubuntu?

Could someone test this symptom in 8.10 and/or 9.04?

This is still a problem with gqview 2.0.4-5 in jaunty.
It only happens the first time you print from gqview, since it saves the printing settings once you changed it to A4.

gqview has been replaced by geeqie in lucid
geeqie still defaults to Letter, low since if you change to A4 once the printing settings are saved.

affects: gqview (Ubuntu) → geeqie (Ubuntu)
