Bug Description

When I edit a file, e.g.:

gksudo gedit /etc/fstab

Make some changes and when saving I see these errors:

(gedit:2223): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to store changes into `/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel', but failed: Failed to create file '/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel.PWS47V': No such file or directory

(gedit:2223): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to set the permissions of `/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel', but failed: No such file or directory

Note that they don't relate to the file I am editing.

I had moved "/home" to a separate partition and then install a Xubuntu 11.10 to a new "/" partition and used the new home partition, ever since I see these errors.

To create "/home" I used the instructions from here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Partitioning/Home/Moving

thank you for your bug report, those errors are coming from gtk and "known", it's because you use sudo and the sudo user doesn't have the standard gtk directories

Changed in gedit (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Invalid

Please reconsider.

I initially used sudo, but as stated above this is also happening with gksudo.
