some errors on copy paste function

This is my 40th plus times i encountered this bug. highlighting a text or paragraph and pasting it sometimes paste somewhere from the text area and does not overwrite/replace the highlighted text..

Thanks for your bug. How do you copy/paste the text? With ctrl-C/ctrl-V, with the menu, with a selection/middle click? What version of Ubuntu do you use?

typically Cntrl-C/Cntrl-V sometimes Cntrl-Insert/Shift-Insert

yes, sometimes it paste anywhere from the editor is there an issue about the
kernel sync with the gnome-desktop components i'm using kernel smp.

I doubt it's a linux sync issue ...

maybe, it doesn't occur that much after upgrading with the new build.

What version of Ubuntu do you use? Is that fixed for you now?

I use breezy, It doesn't occur that much lately, I'm using 2.6.12-10-686-smp,
I just upgraded last week with a new kernel build, maybe I'll try it some
more.. I'm doin' a java project and I'm using gedit that much... I'll just
post if it do occur again, and how much often.
