Bug Description

Binary package hint: gedit

in the Text editor I have to insert manually space between two characters of utf-8 Kannada by using spacebar key plus arrow key(right) - Ubuntu version 9.04
for example:

English: original text = I have to insert space between two characters
               output text = I h a v e t o i n s e r t s p a c e b e t w e e n t w o c h a r a c t e r s

 Kannada: originaltext = ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನುಕಲಿಯಿ
                output text = ಕ ನ್ನ ಡ ವ ನ್ನು ಕ ಲಿ ಯಿ
This feature is available in ooowriter -> Format ->character ->position->spacing.
I request the same feature as in OOwriter may please introduced for texteditor, since when copied from the oowriter and pasted in texteditor - all formats typed as above will vanished !!.
I hope your will introduce the above feature in the texteditor also along with line spacing in the text editor.
With regards,
