Whenever gedit's autosave function triggers, any inputted but not yet committed SCIM content in gedit is erased. Presuming the user has ctrl+space to switch to e.g. Japanese input method via SCIM, the problem can be repeated using the following steps:
1. open gedit, go into settings and set autosave to every [ 1 ] minutes (to not have to wait 10 minutes for the bug to appear)
2. switch to SCIM input, hit enter a few times to make sure the document is unsaved, then type something in the language *WITHOUT* hitting enter. The text should be uncommitted.
3. wait about a minute.
As soon as gedit autosaves, the uncommitted content is erased.
