please remove these from the package and use dh_python to generate/remove them.

gedit does use dh_python already, does it need any special argument?

This upload fixes the issue:

 gedit (2.14.1-0ubuntu2) dapper; urgency=low
 .
   * debian/rules:
     - don't ship the .py[co] with the package (Ubuntu: #36723)
