[Dapper] "piping" doesn't work

Bug Description

In the man page of Gedit, it says that Gedit supports piping. They give an example : "ls -l | gedit".

It doesn't work: when I do that, Gedit pops up, but the document is empty, as if I hadn't piped anything.

This is a new bug in Dapper, i.e. "ls | gedit" works fine in Breezy.
