Python string highlighting does not continue when a backslash is used

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gedit

In Python, I can have a string break over multiple lines by using the backslash character:

"Some string \
I'm still in the string"

The syntax highlighting does not pick this up.

I'm using GEdit 2.20.3.
