Bug Description
Binary package hint: gedit
When you go to save a file in gedit, and you go to the Save As, the dialog box opens with a suggested name for the file: "Unsaved Document 1". This name is highlighted, obviously indicating that you should change the name to something that you want. However, as soon as you hit a key on the keyboard, the focus immediately changes down to the little box that says "All Files"! This is both annoying and not logical! If you have the proposed name of your document highlighted, wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that the program is suggesting that you change the default title of the file?? Who wants to save a file called "Unsaved Document X". Further, why would you take the focus down to the type of file?? This behavior makes no sense.

I can confirm this behavior. This behavior is not desirable, especially for keyboard-only environments.
