Bug Description

Most of the time (but not always), when i copy content from an application (for example Gedit) to Firefox, the pasted content doesn't match what was copied. If I then try to paste in another application, the right content is pasted.

I have to copy / paste the same content several times before the right content finally gets pasted to Firefox.

That upstream bug sounds indeed similar to the problem you're observing, but given that it's closed, it's unlikely to receive attention. Can you file a new upstream bug report and share the link to it here?

Sorry, my bugzilla.mozilla account is disabled, and i have no clue why, so i can't open a new bug. I'll do it as soon as my account is back (if ever...).

After further investigation, the bug is in Gedit (or GTK?), not in Firefox: I have noticed that, when the bug occurs, I cannot paste (the data copied from gedit) in LibreOffice either. If I close gedit and open it again, I can copy / paste from Gedit to Firefox (or LibreOffice) again.

Should i open a new bug, or can you update this one to reflect this?
