Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
mein Problem ist gelöst. Ich habe Ubuntu 18.04 neu auf mein
Laptop installiert und die "Textbearbeitung" funktioniert jetzt
reibungslos.
Ich bitte zu entschuldigen, dass ich mich nicht mehr gemeldet habe.

Wo der Fehler gelegen hat ist jetzt natürlich nicht mehr zu klären.
