Rendering Traditional Mongolian Script with Mongolian Variation Selectors is not correct.

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -> About Ubuntu
    Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname' or by checking in
    gedit 3.10.4
3) What you expected to happen
     chrome_38.0.2107.3_dev_correct.png
4) What happened instead
    gedit_mongolian_incorrect.png

5) using font is
    MongolianWhite.ttf

The harfbuzz corrected this issue at version 0.9.32.

Thank you for your bug report. The comments suggest that the issue got resolved with new harfbuzz versions, could you try on vivid or wily if that's still an issue?
