Bug Description

The description for the gedit-plugins package reads, in part, "The following plugins are included: [...] * SyncTeX: Synchronize between LaTeX and PDF with gedit and evince."

With the gedit-plugins package installed, I start up gedit and open the preferences dialog, click on the plugins tab, and find the following plugins listed (note that there is nothing for SyncTeX):
 * Bookmarks
 * Bracket Completion
 * Change Case
 * Character Map
 * Code comment
 * Color Picker
 * Commander
 * Dashboard
 * Document Statistics
 * Draw Spaces
 * Embedded Terminal
 * External Tools
 * File Browser Panel
 * Insert Date/Time
 * Join/Split Lines
 * Modelines
 * Multi Edit
 * Python Console
 * Quick Open
 * R integration
 * Session Saver
 * Smart Spaces
 * Snippets
 * Sort
 * Spell Checker
 * Tag list
 * Text Size
 * Word Completion
 * Zeitgeist dataprovider

Additionally, the source package ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/gedit-plugins/3.6/gedit-plugins-3.6.1.tar.xz contains the python script "synctex.py", but no such file is listed under installed files for gedit-plugins in Synaptic.

I am running Ubuntu 13.04, and have gedit-plugins version 3.6.1-0ubuntu2 from http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring/universe i386 Packages.
