Bug Description
Binary package hint: gedit-latex-plugin
If you use gedit with gedit-latex-plugin to typeset latex documents, you can include the package "\usepackage{pgf}" to view pgf-pictures in your document. But if you use the pgf-command "\input{pic.pgf}", gedit-latex-plugin doesn't recognize your document as a Latex document anymore and all latex-options are disabled.
I think this is anyhow related to the command "\input", as this may lead gedit-latex-plugin to belief the document is written in any other language.
gedit itself (not gedit-latex-plugin) DOES recognize the document as Latex (as the highlighting is correct).
Thank you in advance for fixing that bug.

I now attach a minimal example "file.tex".
As a workaround, you can
- start gedit
- open "file.tex"
- comment the line, where "\input" occurs
- close gedit
- open "file.tex" again
- compile the document
now it will compile just nicely. But of course, you would have to do that EVERY TIME.
