Bug Description

Geary version: 0.12-dev
Installation method: APT geary/bionic,now 0.12.0-1ubuntu1 amd64 [installed]
Desktop: GNOME with Ubuntu Flavor (Wayland)
Operating system and version: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS

Steps to reproduce:
Open geary with at least one configured account and try to open the "About" dialog via panel menu as early as possible. The whole wayland session gets stuck and then to login screen appears.

It works as expected if geary is idle

This is not the only way to chrash the session via geary, but the one best to reproduce.

I removed the package and installed the newer release via flatpak, where the menu items already moved from panel to app. The maintainer of this package should consider to update this package in the apt repository, at least for the current LTS release and later.

Thank you for your bug report. Could you add your 'journalctl -b 0' after getting the issue?
