The attachment "gtk_file_chooser_get_current_folder returns the current folder of the chooser which is not the same as the currently-selected folder. gtk_file_chooser_get_filename on the other hand will work as expected for end users. If you drag and drop a path, it will open to that path etc." seems to be a patch. If it isn't, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the "patch" tag, and if you are a member of the ~ubuntu-reviewers, unsubscribe the team.

This bug was fixed in the package gdmap - 0.8.1-5

---------------
gdmap (0.8.1-5) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Migrate to Salsa.
  * Switch to debhelper compatibility level 11.
  * Standards-Version 4.1.4, no further change required.
  * Open the selected folder, instead of the current folder (from the File
    / Open... dialog). LP: #1550790.
  * Drop autogen.sh to remove the last references to deprecated gnome-
    common macros. Closes: #829890.
  * Move to “admin” section instead of “graphics”. Thanks to Sami Ledes
    for the suggestion. Closes: #721387.
