Description: GNOME Display Manager
GDM provides the equivalent of a "login:" prompt for X displays: it
asks for a login and starts graphical sessions.
 .
It supports multiple seats and switching between multiple users.
 .
The greeter is based on the GNOME libraries and applications, and its
look and design are the same as those of a GNOME session.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please:

1. Run:

    ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash

Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug.

2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us.

Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself.

Hi @vanvugt

1. ubuntu-bug reports that crash file is broken:

*** Erreur : Rapport d'anomalie non valide

Ce rapport d'anomalie est endommagé et ne peut pas être traité.

MalformedProblemReport("Malformed problem report: Line 'pAcy1bNTl34QMn2XUvr+cs26NgMy9Y8LMj1kVP691p4XMpavbI9OTvhBK2dApjiuik7eopMrIZeSvR+FTA9jy5ApON0kyL2ovZBpvnohX0

I tried to generate a new one by removing it, but same problem with the new one.

2. The crash report may be:

The package archive for 24.04 is unstable at the moment which likely caused this bug. I suggest waiting at least a few days, maybe a week, before attempting any more system-wide updates.
