Bug Description
Unable to log into 18.04. Worked for about a month, then suddenly stopped. Boot appeared normal until login screen. Login screen appeared to be "greyed out", mouse and keyboard did not work. System clock appeared ok.
CTL-ALT-F2 did not open new terminal. CTL-ALT-F7 did not reset login screen or desktop.
Changed boot process to verbose. No errors observed on startup.
I've recovered a lot of Ubuntu machines, this problem is new to me.

Thanks for having a look. Could be a virus I suppose, although Sophos was running on the machine.
