gdm-session-worker crashed with SIGABRT in g_assertion_message()

This occurred after disabling Wayland in the gdm3 configuration file (I installed Bionic prior to the switch to Xorg) and installing the DisplayLink driver so that the DisplayPort on my Lenovo dock would work.
