With neither compiz, nor metacity am I able to change the pointer from small white (default) on this theme (Ambiance).
Since I have visual impairment problems, this is getting to be beyond annoying. I do not choose to use other, high contrast themes because I find them annoying.
Instead of trying to me-too smart phones, the alternate desktops should have been better debugged. The default desktop with this release, which arrived unannounced, is totally unacceptable to me. Trash like that should be offered as an option, not as default. You are doing your best to turn yourselves into Microsoft. If this goes on, I will find a different distribution.

Subsequent note. I did change the pointer to black. I cannot get the redglass pointer to work.
