Bug Description

Binary package hint: language-pack-gnome-pt-base

The time format shown at the login screen for locale pt-PT is wrong. It should show a 24-hour format instead of a 12-hour format. The Gnome Clock applet shows the correct format after login. A patch is submitted which uses the 24-hour format for this locale (pt) in package language-pack-gnome-pt-base.

1) Output of 'lsb_release -rd':
Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release: 10.04

2) Output of 'apt-cache policy gdm language-pack-gnome-pt-base':
gdm:

3) The 24-hour clock format should be shown at the login screen for this locale (pt).
4) The 12-hour clock format is shown at the login screen for this locale (pt) instead. However after login, the Clock applet shows the correct format.

This needs to be fixed in gdm, not in the autogenerated langpack.

affects: language-pack-gnome-pt-base (Ubuntu) → gdm (Ubuntu)

Can you please report that upstream and send the patch there, too?
