Bug Description
Binary package hint: gdm
This is for Lucid Lynx, for Karmic it's too late.
Gdmsetup needs some more funktions. As example, I take my situation:
I use a Notebook with AC97 Soundoutput. When I'm out and starting Ubuntu I have to cover the Speakers with my hands because I don't want to shock People around me with the (extremely loud) Ubuntu Drums.
Shure, I can turn this off with a
sudo -u gdm gconftool-2 --set --type bool /desktop/
but this isn't a suitable solution for not-advanced Users, so it would be very good if this funktionality could be reemplemented in gdmsetup again for Lucid.
